Based out of Venice Beach, Los Angeles, Cristina Vane is taking the town by storm with her unique blend of blues and folk. Originally from Europe, she draws from such a great host of influences that it is impossible to compare her music to any one artist. She’s a fresh new face in the Los Angeles music scene and you can catch her crouched over her guitar with her slide, coming to a town near you. more Cristina Vane

First and foremost, Desi Ramone is a performance artist. Yes, he writes and sings his original songs but a far cry from the normal humdrum singer/songwriter act.
Standing at 6ft 2 in classic western wear, Desi mixes up his 45 set like a toss salad. Covers and originals to the beats of Surf, Bo Diddly, Hooker Blues, Folk, Powerpop, Honky Tonk. It’s played all on his Gibson Acoustic through Fender Deluxe amp with one purpose … to get you dancing.
Lately he’s been rocking weekly at the Venice Open Mic Night at Larry’s.
“I only play three styles … Johnny Cash, Johnny Ramone and Johnny B Goode” is how he describes his talent. From Modesto CA, via New York City, and now sunny So Cal, he has sat behind the drum set in many trios, then moved to rhythm guitar in bluegrass and country bands as a hired gun. It was on 12/31/12, the 60th anniversary of Hank Williams Sr’s death, Desi Ramone decided, in honor of Hank Sr, “I will do my own songs the way I wanna play em.”
In March 2017 Desi released his single “Red And Yellow Roses” available to buy today on cdbaby (see link below). By year’s end there will be two more singles … a Blasters tune “Little Honey” and another power poppy original “You are gonna be a big queen one day”.
