Tullara

Tullara has been storming across the Australian music scene ever since her Debut EP release ‘Better Hold ON’ in 2016. Born and raised on a parrot farm in Ramornie, northern NSW Australia (true story), Folk/Roots rocker Tullara went on to win ‘Best EP’ at the 2017 Australian Roots Music Awards – this was the first step to an indie career that achieved an incredible 1,000,000 streams on Spotify in 2018 alone. With the amazing support from her listeners and fans, Tullara played a jaw-dropping 310 shows across 2018/19.

As her performance rep grew, Tullara won the attention and praise of ARIA Award Winner John Butler “Tullara has a way with words and a way with that guitar. She’s a gifted artist just at the beginning of what looks to be a promising adventure ahead.”, and was invited to open for Aussie legends such as The Waifs, Jeff Lang, Troy Cassar-Daley and Mia Dyson. Soon after Tullara was chosen as the National Australia Tour support act for international artist Donavon Frankenreiter (USA) and Wallis Bird (IRE), as well as opening for The East Pointers (CAN).

The TomiTom Sho

Bio modified from an article that was written by Laguna Beach Vibe
read original article here

Tom Licon’s special connection to his daughter Tomi, began at infancy. He could see in her eyes she was gifted, dynamic and a child with a sharp sense of humor. Tomi represents the third family collaboration and they street perform as much as they can on the US West Coast between Laguna Beach and Santa Barbara.

At the ripe ol’ age of 15 Tomi has been playing over half her life. Tom is an artist to his core having studied both art and music in college. He schooled her on scales before chords and they’ve fine-tuned original songs like “Peanut Butter and Classical Jam”, “Simple Song” and “Her Butt” as well as covers like “Low Budget” by The Kinks, “The Weight” by The Band and “White Rabbit” by Jefferson Airplane. As the soloist, Tomi’s Spanish Requinto guitar strums a higher pitch than a traditional guitar and the small size instrument fits her to a T.

Tom compares their duo to a Mariachi Instrumentation of Multi Genre, striving to have something for everyone and remain unique in a cookie cutter world. Working so closely with your father isn’t always harmonious. Tomi’s main complaint is that her dad often repeats stuff, however his straightforward manner of speaking is always met with a laugh. For Tom, nothing brings more joy than harmonizing with someone that you love.
