Who or what inspires you?

I feel I’ve recently found a drive to not leave this world without telling my little bit of story. I’ve spent so many years playing cover songs but if I can have an impact on just a handful of people with the songs I wore and perform, I’ve satisfied the need or drive to share the story.

Why do you love Radio Venice?

After watching a few episodes I really appreciate the diversity. I like there are no rules to what style of artist or music is shared.

Favorite album right now?

I’ve been into Ariel Posen lately. A great guitar player and I’m really into his tuning, somewhere between a standard tuned guitar and a baritone. Makes me want to buy a baritone acoustic just to see what inspiration comes from it.

Favorite quarantine activity?

I have two young kids so … anything where the kids aren’t around. Lol.

Favorite comfort food?

Does beer and whiskey count? Lol [RV: absolutely!]

Favorite instrument …

My Martin acoustic guitar have family member relationship at this point. I had to send it in for repairs for a couple months and when I got it back it was like getting back a long lost member of the band.

… and does it have a name?

Funny thing, I’ve never named any important possession in my life. If the Martin could talk I think he’d quote a Paul Simon song and say “you can call me Al”.
