Bambi Feel Good (born Amberlin Morse) is a muti-instrumentalist, producer and composer from Long Beach, CA.
She is the granddaughter of DJ Still Bill who spun local SoCal venues from the ’70s until his death. He passed down his love of music to Bambi’s mother who worked at the now defunct Music Plus record store. Before she was born, Bambi’s father had an opportunity to break into the music industry but his moment fell through.
A huge poster of Sade’s Stronger Than Pride album cover hung in the bedroom of Bambi’s parents. The radio dial was always set on hip-hop, r&b, soul, pop, new wave, quiet storm and smooth jazz.
Her first instrument was violin which she quit in the third grade. Next, she picked up the keyboard which she quit after two lessons.
When Bambi was 13, she saved money from picking strawberries outside of Seattle to buy her first guitar.
She began gigging in Los Angeles in 2008 and is focused on her solo EP. She is also a member of an Afro Latin band called Tropi Corillo and is the front woman for the Venice Beach duo Bambi + Felix. She has played many music festivals including South By Southwest and the Abbot Kinney Festival.
