Paula Montondo & Rebecca Stout
Paula Montondo and Rebecca Stout, both veteran recording musicians who spent years in the alternative music scene in Nashville and the eastern US and are now joined together with their quirky 1920s-30s style music. Paula on ukulele and vocals and Rebecca on autoharp and vocals, they blend their fun original songs (some about technology set to the sound of the 1930s) mixed with some lesser known songs of the past.
Paula Montondo was a recording engineer for 20 years and played drums with several touring bands and played guitar and wrote in her original alt band ShaShaBoom who gained a following in the south and had regional air play as well as songs used for film and television. Since in LA she has unplugged and gone acoustic!
Rebecca Stout is also a world famous flat foot dancer and is featured in the International Bluegrass Music Museum and she heads up the dance portion of the annual Topanga Banjo Fiddle Fest. In addition to her years as a unique alternative and rap artist, she now also sings in Nevenka, an Eastern European Folk Choir.
