HUMBLE BEGINNINGS … GENERATIONAL IMPACT.

The Candelas Music and Arts Foundation was founded by Tomas Delgado in April 2018.

The roots of the organization lie in the humble beginnings of Candelas Guitars. Founded by Porfirio & Candelario Delgado in 1928, the two brothers began a guitar-making journey that is now in its 3rd generation. The story of their success, and that of Profirio’s son Candelario (Candy), and of Candy’s son Tomas is one built upon the timeless tradition of always giving back.

Candelas Guitars has always been a beacon to those with a love of music, regardless of their social status or pedigree. The 3 generations of Luthiers have, over their lifetimes, provided the community with an ability to, not only attain instruments they couldn’t afford anywhere else, but as well as provided their business as a backdrop for learning and enrichment. Whether the music was Flamenco, Folk, Classic Trio, or Rock, everyone is given a chance to learn and to be heard.

Now as Candelas Guitars approaches its Centennial, Tomas believes that it is time to formalize what has been an 90-year mission in giving back. The Candelas Music & Arts Foundation seeks to provide musicians with an opportunity for learning or enrichment that is centered around the idea of paying it forward.

Bio 1:
Here is some fake 3rd person:

Paul Chesne (born June 4, 1976) is an American rock n’ roll singer-songwriter and guitarist.

He has traveled throughout the United States and played well over 1200 shows since 1999 including cutting his teeth playing upwards of 150 times at the infamous Kibitz Room in Canter’s Deli. He also held court with a 9 year residency at O’Brien’s Pub in Santa Monica.

He has written over 200 songs and released 5 full length albums and an EP featuring (here comes some name dropping):

Dave Roe (Johnny Cash, Dwight Yoakam, Louvin Brothers), Mitch Marine (Smash Mouth, Dwight Yoakam, Tripping Daisy), Kenny Vaughan (Marty Stuart, Lana Del Rey, Ray Lamontagne), Keith Gattis (Dwight Yoakam, Kenny Chesney), Skip Edwards (Dwight Yoakam, Keith Richards, Norah Jones, Lucinda Williams), The Webb Sisters (Leonard Cohen), Elvis Perkins and Willie Chambers of The Chambers Brothers.

His lyrics range from the whimsical, political and humorous to the dark and poetic.

The current backing band has been together for several hundred shows and features Eric “Dutch” Suoninen (guitar), Jason “J-Sonic” Chesney (bass) and Shane Considine (drums).

We are like here’s everything we’ve got. And some stuff we don’t. Lay it down on the line. Hopefully it will touch you in some way that promotes empathy for your fellow souls. It’s the futuristic blues or something. It’s an emotional clusterfuck or epiphany as it were. It is the chaos and rhythm and wonder and ecstasy and the blues. Better known as rock and roll.
